Draw A Head And Face Of Anime Girl – This tutorial explains how to draw a girl’s head and face in anime or manga from the front and back.

Before you start drawing, it is a good idea to describe the defining features of the anime style.

Many female anime characters tend to have big eyes, smallmouth, nose and chin, and a round face. The lips are usually slightly defined or not painted at all. The hair is usually cut into pieces instead of individual strands and usually has a nail-shaped appearance.

If you are drawing with pencil and paper, make sure you draw straight lines for the first parts of the lesson as you will need to erase some details later.

Step 1 – Drawing a Head

You can draw a straight line down the middle of the head to look forward to helping ensure that both sides are aligned.

Make a circle or a bright oval to look forward and a long oval to look sideways to help get the top shape of the head.

You can produce two sets of floor lines from the oval/circle around the chin joint for a preview.

On the side view, there will be a kind of retreat in the nose/eye area. Draw the nose in the middle between the chin (covered more in Step 3) and in the middle of the head. You can draw a straight line from the top of the nose down to the chin (verbal details will be added in Step 5). And with a side view, you can draw a line up from the chin and bend over and look at what will later be the shape of the ears to form the lower jaw.

In both cases, draw the chin slightly and almost straight but with a slight curve at the bottom.

You can see the primary curves and head shapes of anime or manga styles in the example above.

Step 2 – Drawing Ears

To set the ears, draw a horizontal line directly between the head and draw another line between that and the chin. Draw ears between the two lines.

By setting aside, the view of the ears will be placed more slowly behind the head than before.

Step 3 – Eye Design

Anime eyebrows can vary depending on the style and type of character, so there is no sure way to place the lower part. To put the eyes on the head, you can use the same straight line to identify the upper part of the ears. Draw eyes directly below this line.

If you are drawing both ideas simultaneously, make sure that the bottom of the eyes is the same size. Common mistake budding artists often make when drawing the same face from different inconsistent views or facial features with a different size.

Also, note that you can create a simple eye shape at this stage of the drawing process and leave details later (included in Step 7).

Step 4 – Drawing the Nose

As mentioned earlier, you will want to place the nose between the point across the horizontal end of the face and under the chin.

You can draw the nose as just a dot in a side view anime in the front. The nose is usually tiny and sharp.

Step 5 – Oral Drawing

To the mouth is a bit trickier to put as you will first want to get the position of the lip down to do it. Also, keep in mind that when it comes to anime and manga, the lower lip is usually not drawn to the preview of the characters.

The lower lip will be placed between the nose and the bottom of the chin. Draw the mouth itself a little above that.

You can probably draw a lip like one or two lines (actually just one line with a break in the middle to look ahead). If you look for a happy/friendly-looking character, you can draw him in a slight curve.

In the picture above, you can see how the first straight line from the tip of the nose down to the chin can be used to help you draw lips.

Step 6 – Hair Design

Add hair.

Keep in mind that the hair will transcend other characters’ facial features. But it is still a good practice to paint those, especially as they may be noticeable if you choose to paint a different hairstyle. You can wipe the parts covered with hair when you are done.

You can simply remove large sections of hair extensions in this section without small internal hair details. Adjust the clumps slightly with the shape and direction to give the hair a more natural look.

Step 7 – Drawing Small Face Details & Completing Line Drawing

In this section, you can clear the face parts covered with hair and add small details o the eyes like eyelashes, pupils, and highlights. You can also shade the eyelashes and add some points to the hair.

When painting the eyes, you can highlight the highlights (light reflections) with straight lines so that when searching for the eyes, you do not hide them again by mistake.

When you are done, you should have a complete line drawing of the head and face of an anime girl.

This is technically a finished painting, and you can leave it as it is, but if you want to go slow, you can move on to the next shading step.

You can see the drawing of the finished line of facial features without hair in the way in the picture above.

Step 8 – Applying Shading

You can add a basic blur to your drawing to make it stand out more.

Anime uses the “Cel” blurring style (fundamental blurring without gradients), making blurring faster and easier.

The way shading is used will be determined by two factors: naturally dark areas and shady places thrown into them.

Dark Places

You will usually want to make the hair darker and the eyes’ irises (leave the highlights white). Hide the pupils and the upper part of the iris even darker.

In the Shadows

The light source determines the way the shadows are distributed. As a result of this study, we will be dealing with “normal” light conditions where shadows are often thrown down.

In This Case, The Shadows (Top To Bottom) Will Be:

  • Forehead – from the hair
  • Eyelids – because they are decorated on the head (less light reaches)
  • Over the Eyes – from the eyelids (somehow you can choose the ones that are the smallest to see)
  • Nose – on one side
  • Below the Mouth (optional) – from the lips.
  • Neck – from the head

Conclusion

This tutorial provides general guidelines for drawing a woman’s face in anime or manga style.

8 Anime Step by Head and Face Artist lesson https://easyanimedrawings.com/anime-boy-face-drawing/ https://easyanimedrawings.com/anime-boy-face-drawing/#respond Thu, 17 Feb 2022 06:24:20 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=801 8 Anime Step by Head and Face Artist lesson

Anime Boy Face Drawing – This tutorial explains how to draw the head and face of an anime woman step by step. The main focus is on creating an older woman who looks good in anime/manga style in line with the facial features common to that character.

An anime woman Draws 8 steps.

In this study, the woman’s age can be anywhere from the late 20s to 30s.

If you follow a drawing on paper, try and keep your lines very simple as you will need to clear the head parts in some of the steps. If you are digital, you may have many options depending on the software you are using.

Step 1 – Build & Draw Head

In the head of a middle-aged anime character, draw “longer” (more extended straight) than you would in a younger person. Kids usually have a rounder face than adults, so a longer face will automatically make the character look older and more mature.

You can start drawing a shape next to the circle for a preview. Draw two lines and the other two vertical lines from the intersection to form the chin.

With a side view, you can draw the top of the head like an egg and add the lower part. This can be difficult as you will want to show the nose quickly. As suggested earlier, you can make a rough drawing with light lines first, measure where the nose should be, and adjust your picture later if necessary with a sniffle look at step four of this lesson.

In the meantime, draw a line between the tip of the nose and the chin as one line. The details of the mouth and lower part of the nose will be added in later stages.

Step 2 – Place & Draw Ears

Please note that the ears will cover the hair with the latest steps, so painting them may be optional. However, it may be a good idea to show the characters (even if you delete them later) as they can help you judge whether or not they look suitable for your character. Drawing ahead without eras may seem unusual. It is also good to know how to style yourself to paint different hair.

To place the ears, draw a horizontal line between the head and the line between that and the chin. Draw ears between the two lines.

Step 3 – Place and Draw Eyes

Big and wide eyes often make the characters look younger. For adult anime, characters draw eyes straight and small irises/readers relative to the rest of the eye.

To keep an eye out, you can use a horizontal line formed in the middle of the head in the previous step. Draw it below it.

For a preview, draw eyes wide enough for one eye.

You can see all the eye painting steps in the example above; however, you must complete the whole face painting before adding color. You can return to this example if you need it when working on the final step of the lesson.

Step 4 – Place & Draw Nose

When you place your nose, you can re-use the lines in the previous step. In this case, its bottom will be in the same line as the bottom of the ears.

To draw the lower part of the nose in a side view, you can see the next step, mainly tied to the lip liner.

When drawing a front view of the nose, you can show it as two straight lines. Please make a short line in the lower part of the nose (below the point) and another long one above it. A small gap between these will indicate a tip.

Step 5 – Place and draw Mouth and lips

Anime lips are drawn as a single line (usually broken in the middle). Lips are generally not shown at all or are pointed. However, older characters are sometimes painted with more prominent facial features so that the mouth will be better defined in this case. The woman will also be wearing lipstick which means the lips can be exposed.

Keep the mouth so that its lower lip is in the middle of the lower part of the nose and under the chin.

You can see a close-up drawing of the mouth and lips with the details in the example above. Repeat until you have finished with each face painting line to add color.

Step 6 – Draw Hair

To do this, draw the upper part of the hair and the head’s shape. You can paint the coat into separate pieces with light curves/waves on them as the hair falls out.

Step 7 – Clean the Drawing

Once you have completed the previous steps, clean your drawing and erase any guidelines and sections of hair covered with hair. You can then trace over your lines to darken. However, do not follow over the frame of brightness and shadows in the eyes. Leave those simple lines to blend in well with the color/shade added in the next step.

Step 8 – Color in the Drawing

To color and shade, your character first fills each area like hair and skin with a solid color and then adds a darker shade later. You can leave highlights like glitter in the eyes, hair, and white lips when you draw on paper or draw later when you draw digitally.

In some cases, the darker shades darken areas, usually far away from the light.

In this case, more shadows will be found in the following areas:

  • Tiny shadows around the eyelid
  • Shadows on the upper parts of the eyes (eyelashes)
  • A slight shadow on one side of the nose
  • Shadows near different hair groups (usually down)
  • The big shadow on the neck is made of the head and hair.

Conclusion

For anime, characters who look older draw longer faces and smaller eyes than you would for younger ones. If you look at a few pictures of real people, children usually have a round face and big eyes (about their head) than adults.

How to Draw Male Anime Face in 3/4 View Step by Step https://easyanimedrawings.com/draw-male-anime-face/ https://easyanimedrawings.com/draw-male-anime-face/#respond Tue, 25 Jan 2022 12:49:12 +0000 https://easyanimedrawings.com/?p=174 How to Draw Male Anime Face in 3/4 View Step by Step

Draw Male Anime Face – This tutorial shows you how to draw a male anime face or manga style with a 3/4 view with detailed drawing examples step by step… Making a proper 3/4 head painting can be more challenging than combining heads and faces in anime style…

This lesson provides a detailed breakdown of the drawing process by sixteen steps in total to make things easier to understand.

If you are going to follow the tutorial using pencil and paper, it is Recommended that you start with light lines as you will need to clear parts of the drawing among some of the steps. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Step 1 – Draw the Top of the Head

Start by Drawing a Circle to get the basic shape of the top of the head.

Now I think of this circle as a transparent 3d sphere. Inside draw what could be a piece of apple at a certain angle. This will establish the head center and orientation. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Step 2 – Draw Face Center Line

Clear the oval half facing the back of the head (left side). From the front of the project is a straight line representing the center of the face. This line should be at a slight angle facing the back of the head. It should also reach at least a point below the chin.

It would be best if you had a basic building drawing to help you create the whole head and face when you are done.

Step 3 – Draw the Subject

Anime faces usually have very small beards if they are not straight. However, the chin will be painted a little flat at the end.

to make a face look a little masculineStep 4 – Draw Neck

While the tutorial is focused on the face, you will still want to add a neckline and just a little suggestion for the shoulders. Otherwise, the drawing will look weird.

The neck is usually looked forward. This angle is slightly visible in 3/4 view so draw a neckline with a small head just in front of the face. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Also, Read – How to Draw Freckles on Anime Faces

Step 4 – Draw Ear

On the head, put the ear (one will be hidden behind the head). Make it 1/4 of the head at the top of the flathead.

Step 5 – Draw Eyes

Draw an eye frame as in the example above. He placed their peaks lined up above the ear (and below the horizontal point of the head point).

Move the eye closer to the viewer, wider than the other. And remember that the eyes are slightly placed on the head. To show this, draw the front eye farther away from the centerline of the face than the back eye.

Do not add any small details for now, as that will be done next. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Step 6 – Draw Eyebrows

A little distance above the eyes adds eyebrows. And to make the character less masculine, draw eyebrows bigger than you would see in a typical female anime character.

You can draw them in waves as shapes with inner edges pointed slightly down.

Similarly, the eyes bring the eyebrow closer to the viewer (0n left), wider and farther from the center of the head than from the far side.

Step 7 – Draw Nose

The character will have a well-defined nose with just one nose mark in this case. At the same time, it will still be fairly simple to maintain the anime look.

Keep the nose under its level at the same level as below the ears.

The nose bridge should rotate around the eyebrows. You can show just a little bit of this on the far side of the face with a line that describes the nose towards the far left (right side). (Draw Male Anime Face)

Also, Read – How to Draw Anime Poses Step by Step

Step 8 – Draw the Mouth

Finally, add the mouth with its lower lip placed between the lower part of the nose and under the chin.

You can define the lower lip with just one small curve and slightly place the mouth above it. Because the mouth is curved and slightly tilted from the head, you will want to draw most of its shape so that it is on the front side of the face (left side of the middle line).

Since this is a male mouth, you can draw it very large (wide) compared to a female. To make it look a little more natural, you can also add a little break to the descriptive curve (this is very common in anime).

Step 9 – Clean the Drawing

At this stage, clean up your drawing by erasing all construction lines. It would be best if you had a simple anime and male frame of an anime style without hair or other small details of the eyes/ears when you are done. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Step 10 – Draw the Front of Hair

To summarize, the hair will be divided into front, sides and back highlighted with a light blue.

This is to make the painting process easier to manage and understand instead of just seeing things as a large hair collection.

Start by drawing the front part of the hair, as shown above.

In this case, the character will have natural-looking dirty hair of medium length.

They are drawn into large bumps with hair like these that point in slightly different ways. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Step 11 – Draw the Parts of the Hair

Add the side sections shown above with just a few lumps running down almost below the nose. And remember that the head will slightly hide the back of the hair.

Step 12 – Draw the Back of the Hair

Finally, add the “back part” of hair with large clumps spread out over the top and smaller and covered with clumps at the bottom.

Step 13 – Draw Small Face Details

In this section, erase the hidden parts of the head and hair and add the inner details of the eyes and ears.

The areas you will want to describe in/around the eyes are:

  • Readers – the same or similar shape as irises but smaller
  • Highlights (visible light) – large and small in each eye
  • Top black/shaded areas – upper parts of irises
  • Eyelids – just an index with lines slightly above the eyes

When you are done with this drawing section, you can darken your lines by tracing over them. However, leave out the lines that describe the brightness of the eye and the bright shadows as you want those to match the color/shade. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Step 14 – Color

Once you are done with the line drawing, you can add some color.

If the color is on the paper, you may want to leave the highlights on the hair (shown in the next step) white. Since this can happen randomly, you don’t need to say it before it is given, but you can if you find it easy to do that.

Alternatively, you can add highlights to the hair with a white straightening pen or white paint. When painting digitally, it is recommended that you add highlights and more color.

If the color looks too bright, you can easily trace it with the same color and hair.

You may also notice that the upper parts of the eyes/irises have the darkest shade of eyes. This is important because the eyes can look strange without this (as if the character has a crazy stare).

To avoid this eye shadow, even if you want a simple drawing without the shadow shown in the next step. (Draw Male Anime Face)

Step 15 – Add Encryption to Complete the Drawing

To complete the painting, you can add basic shading to several face areas. As with many other studies here on AnimeOutline, blurring will be done in the normal way. This means that shadows will be added to areas that are more likely to occur in normal lighting conditions, such as a well-lit room or daylight outside.

With this type of shading, add shadows to the following areas:

  • Low haircut tips
  • On the scalp (hair extensions and hair extensions)
  • Around the eyelids
  • Top parts of white eyes (cast eyebrows)
  • Internal parts of the ears
  • Under the nose
  • Upper neck (thrown head)

Drawing a face with a 3/4 view can be a challenge, but you can make the process manageable by using the step-by-step method. Work from the smallest detail to the smallest detail and try and make sure you do the right thing in one step before moving on to the next. You can also create your drawing around simple situations and use the building lines as guides to help you.
